Welcome to my page!
My name is Thorgeir Logason, an Icelandic director and creative producer based in Brooklyn, New York, with six years of experience in live television. Over the past few years I’ve led sports and studio productions for Iceland’s national broadcaster RUV, including Stofan, the network’s pre- and post-show for the FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euros. During that production, RÚV introduced Iceland’s first live virtual sports studio, marking a new chapter in national broadcast production. My experience also includes directing national handball broadcasts that attract 50 to 60 percent of the population, a viewership comparable to the Super Bowl in the United States.

Alongside my work at RÚV, I’ve remained involved with Stöð 2 Sport, now known as Sýn, where I worked my way up through different sectors of production, from graphics and video editing to playout operations, directing, and eventually serving as showrunner and lead director for Seinni bylgjan, as well as editorial director for national coverage of the UEFA Champions League and the English Premier League, overseeing studio content, analysis, graphical insights and storytelling.
